Overview
Organised by AGnVET Services in conjunction with the Lung Foundation Australia, the walk will be supported by many participants who will be walking part of the journey with Bill Van Nierop who has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a rare lung condition with approximately 1,500 new cases diagnosed each year. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of this devastating disease as well as symptoms of lung disease so that people can be diagnosed and treated earlier. The Long Walk For Lungs Route
The Long Walk For Lungs will commence in Narromine and will follow a 697km route through Central Western NSW passing through the towns of Trundle, Condobolin, Lake Cargelligo, Griffith, Leeton, Weethalle, Barellan, West Wyalong and finishing in Forbes.
