Day 5 Friday 18th and end of the 1st week with 218km of The Long Walk completed since starting out from Narromine on Monday morning. Today Bill and other support walkers completed 42km ending up at Kiacatoo late afternoon. Strong winds of around 40km hour persisted all day at a rather chilly 12 degrees. AGnVET’s Central NSW Agronomy team interrupted their 2 day meeting in Condobolin to join Bill on the first 3.5km’s out of town on the way to Lake Cargelligo. Before starting the walk the team passed the hat around and raised $295 for the walk, Congratulations and thanks to Tim Wright, Tim Stivens, David Harbison, Olivia Dawson, Brett Honeysett and Ricky Brett … great effort.
Andrew Walker and Brett Honeysett were joined by Yolanda Healey and Brett’s father Paul for the day.
What a week, Bill continues to walk and talk along the route about IPF and Lung disease and the AGnVET branch staff at Narromine, Trundle and Condobolin did a fantastic job for The Long Walk for Lungs.
Monday morning and it will be back out to Kiacatoo to finish the walk into Lake Cargelligo … let’s hope the strong winds have gone.
