Monday morning was the start of the last week for The Long Walk for Lungs with Bill leaving Leeton and heading towards Barellan. Bill, and the crew received fantastic support on Friday night at the Wade and Leeton Hotel’s and on Sunday morning at the Yanco markets. Thanks to everybody who generously donated to the walk and Darren Cooper AGnVET Manager Leeton for organising the events.
Bill continued to follow the white line and walked the 44km’s by himself on Monday with support from AGnVET Barellan Manager Luke Diggleman and Customer Service Officer Donny Nardi from the AGnVET Leeton branch.
Tuesday morning and Bill, support crew and walkers headed off from Barellan for the 45km walk to Weethalle. After a quick catch up with Prime7 for the following night’s local news Bill, support crew and walkers started Day 12.
AGnVET Barellan Customer Service Officers Kylie Fretwell and Laura Bruce with Rebecca Staines Northern Region Manager and AGnVET Managing Director Mark Giffin all kept Bill company on the road while sharing parts of the walk into Weethalle in the afternoon. Barellan Manager Luke Diggleman was there again today to support the team driving the support vehicle, thanks Luke.
Well that’s 12 days down and 3 days to go before we arrive in Forbes on Friday. Tonight the crew are in West Wyalong at The White Tank Hotel from around 6pm, drop in and say g’day.
